An important part of this project starts before you even arrive on the island.
Through Garage La Santa, I try to share the Lanzarote I know and have experienced throughout my life. So when you book with us, you won’t only receive the practical information you need for your stay. We’ll also send you a local guide that I regularly update with restaurants, independent shops, local producers, walking routes, beaches, experiences and projects that are part of everyday life on the island.
Over the years, I’ve built a network of friends, professionals and small businesses whose work and commitment to the island I really respect. Whenever possible, we encourage our guests to discover Lanzarote through them, supporting local projects and helping their money stay within the island’s economy.
That support continues once you’re here. I like to keep in touch with guests during their stay and help them plan their days around the weather, sea conditions and whatever they’re interested in. Sometimes a simple recommendation can make the difference between visiting a place and understanding it a little better.
We don’t see travel as a matter of collecting places or experiences. We believe in taking the time to get to know somewhere, talking to the people who live there, spending responsibly and respecting the environment that welcomes us.
Our hope is that staying with us helps you discover a more personal and genuine side of Lanzarote: an island shaped by its people, landscapes, traditions and small projects, all of which deserve to be known and supported.
If you leave feeling a deeper connection with the place you’ve visited, we’ll feel that the project has done what it set out to do.
Garage and Apartment are two places to stay in La Santa, Lanzarote. Garage is a 100 m² industrial-style space, while Apartment is a recently renovated 50 m² flat. Both are designed for people working on creative projects, looking to connect with nature, surf and the island’s slower pace, or simply wanting to experience Lanzarote from a more local perspective, with a little guidance from our family.
