We are located in the village of La Santa, within the municipality of Tinajo, on the northwest coast of Lanzarote. A small fishing village with a strong connection to the sea, where it is still possible to enjoy a peaceful pace of life and a close-knit sense of community.
Unlike other, more tourist-oriented areas of the island, La Santa has preserved much of its local character. Most of its residents are families who have lived here for generations, or people whose lives are closely connected to the sea, fishing, sport and everyday village life. It is a simple, authentic place, far removed from the atmosphere and dynamics of large tourist destinations.
La Santa is also one of Europe’s most renowned surfing destinations. Its waves attract surfers from all over the world every year and have made the village an international reference point for the sport, while still preserving the essence and tranquillity of a small coastal community.
The accommodation is located just a few minutes’ walk from the seafront promenade and the fishing harbour. This area is home to several restaurants, small local businesses and some of the best places on the island to enjoy fresh fish and seafood.
The location also provides easy access to some of Lanzarote’s most iconic landscapes. Famara Beach, Timanfaya National Park and much of the volcanic scenery that defines this part of the island are all less than ten minutes away by car. Around La Santa, the landscape is dominated by volcanoes, lava fields, walking trails and wide open spaces.
From the doorstep, you can set off on numerous routes for walking, running or exploring the island by bike. The area is surrounded by paths, tracks and trails that cross unique volcanic landscapes and offer the chance to discover some of the most special corners of northern and western Lanzarote.
Those who choose to stay here often do so for exactly that reason. You will not find shopping centres, large hotels or crowded entertainment areas. Instead, you will find a peaceful seaside village, a strong local community and a slower, more authentic way to discover Lanzarote.
